The Duluth Golden Kiwanis Club; a satellite club of the Duluth Kiwanis, is dedicated to serving the community and its youth.  Members are primarily retired, although the club isn’t limited to retirees and is among the leaders in volunteer hours, serving over eighty hours each month.  Meetings are important occasions for comradeship and fun and because the members are retired they can undertake daytime, weekday projects that other service clubs cannot do.

The Golden K meets at Parc at Duluth on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 11:00 AM, starting with a brief business meeting, followed by a guest speaker and the option to stay for lunch.

The club has taken on many service projects over the past three years, from the Foster Children’s Foundation suit case drive, school supplies for DFACS, sorting and tagging clothing for the Wellspring Living store, providing Christmas and Easter for a family from Dream House, Kiwanis One Day service projects and the sponsor for the Duluth Middle School Builders Club.
